With Love Events is looking for a Wedding Coordinator Assistant to join us for peak season, August through November 2026, with the opportunity to grow into an ongoing role for the right person.
Position overview
Work alongside Christina, supporting a full calendar of weddings across the GTA, Muskoka, and beyond. This role offers a comprehensive view of the business, combining live event execution with behind the scenes coordination.
Compensation includes guaranteed weekly hours plus event pay, mileage reimbursement, and a completion bonus for seeing the contract through.
Compensation
Guaranteed hours: 10 to 12 hours per week, paid regardless of weekly event volume
Event pay: $25 to $30 per hour for rehearsals and wedding days, based on experience
Mileage reimbursed at the CRA rate for events outside the GTA
Completion bonus for candidates who finish the full contract term
First consideration for ongoing work once peak season wraps
Term: August 1 to November 30, 2026
Availability required for weekends and evenings, including 8 to 12 hour event days
Ontario based, with willingness to travel throughout Southern Ontario
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required

Exceptional attention to detail and time management
Professional communication with vendors, venue staff, and clients
Problem solving under pressure in fast paced environments
Physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and light lifting up to 25 lbs
Self starter mentality with timely, proactive communication
Cultural competency and an inclusive mindset, welcoming of all couples, including LGBTQ+ celebrations
Required qualifications
Ability to conduct wedding rehearsals independently
Portfolio of previous event coordination work
Two professional references
Event, hospitality, or customer service experience
Bonus qualifications
WPIC certification
Knowledge of Southern Ontario wedding venues
Content creation skills, including photography, videography, and social media
Key responsibilities
Ceremony and reception setup per design plans
Conduct wedding rehearsals independently
Coordinate vendor arrivals and timeline execution
Manage décor placement and guest coordination
Support teardown
Maintain professional vendor/client relationships
Administrative support and behind the scenes coordination during non event weeks
